This download enables you to update the Web Folders component in Microsoft Windows operating systems.

The article describes the Software Update for Web Folders that is dated March 15, 2007. This update fixes various issues that occur when you use Web folders from your client computer to connect to a server that supports Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV). Additionally, this update includes security enhancements to Web folders.

System Requirements

  • Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000; Windows Server 2003; Windows Vista; Windows XP
  • Microsoft Windows Installer version 2.0 or later. Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 and Microsoft Windows XP include this version of the Windows Installer. Otherwise, the latest version of Windows Installer is available as a separate download at the following links:

Instructions

To install this download:

  1. Download the file by clicking the Download button (above) and saving the file to your hard disk.
  2. To start the Setup program, double-click the Webfldrs-KB907306-ENU.exe program file on your hard disk. The default installation location is \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Folders.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

Note: This software update might require a system restart.
To remove this download:

  • There is no uninstall feature for this download.
