Microsoft must be riding pretty high these days, with Windows 7 getting such good buzz and now XBOX 360 seemingly in everyone’s livingroom.
XBOX has been a top tier gaming platform for such a long time, it wasn’t such a surprise seeing them come out on top. According to Microsoft,
This amazing growth was fueled by the launch of the New Xbox Experience; the broadest selection of hit games, TV shows, and movies available; and mass-market price points, starting at $199.
So, many factors came into play. By offering many platforms, audiences and interests, Microsoft has a hit on their hands. Not only are users able to play a myriad of games, they can watch tv programs, movies, interact with each other and a whole host of tidbits. It’s no wonder that XBOX 360 has become the number one gadget in many households.
In particular, XBOX 360 is selling very well in Japan and all across Europe; and especially in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where XBOX 360 is selling eight to one over Playstation 3.
